Transforming Agrifood Systems in Africa through Scientific Innovations and Partnerships
The Africa-China-CIMMYT Science Forum aims to bring together key stakeholders and thought leaders from various agricultural research centers and private sectors to engage in meaningful discussions and collaborations centered around strengthening our partnership network to address key challenges facing Africa, with a focus on opportunities for leveraging scientific and technological capabilities of Chinese and African companies to improve African smallholders’ food security and livelihoods.
CIMMYT Program Directors, Sarah Hearne and Prasanna Boddupalli, will cover genetic resources and maize breeding systems. CGIAR Executive Managing Director, Ismahane Elouafi, will present CGIAR’s research strategy and relevance for Africa.
