Carlo Montes is an Agricultural Climatologist with the Sustainable Agrifood Systems (SAS) program. His work integrates agricultural, atmospheric and data sciences, along with modeling approaches, for the development of climate information services based on the understanding of historical variability and projections in climate, climate shocks, weather forecasting and seasonal climate predictions. As a main objective, his work seeks to find tailored alternatives for farmers to adapt to climate variability and change.
Prior joining CIMMYT, Carlo was a researcher in ecosystems and climate modeling at NASA Goddard based in New York City.
