CIMMYT’s values and mission require that CIMMYT employees and community members perform with the highest levels of ethical integrity. As part of the CGIAR System, CIMMYT has zero tolerance for illegal or unethical conduct, and will do whatever is reasonably possible to prevent, deter, identify and sanction such behavior.
The Misconduct reporting policy ensures that CIMMYT functions openly and transparently, and affords protection from retaliation for individuals who report misconduct or cooperate with duly authorized audits or investigations.
The violations that may be reported include but are not limited to the Code of conduct, the Anti-Fraud, Anti-Corruption and Anti Bribery Policy, the Anti-Money Laundering Policy, the Safeguarding of Children and Adults at Risk Policy, waste and/or mismanagement of funds, abuse of authority, (sexual) harassment, substantial and specific danger to public health and safety, violations of rules and regulations related to funder requirements, or any other illegal or unethical conduct.
Report misconduct, unethical behaviors and compliance concerns
If you have observed a violation or suspected violation of any law, policy or regulation, you must report it immediately. You can file a report using the third-party helpline Lighthouse or sending an email to the CIMMYT Compliance Officer. For more details on misconduct reports, see the Misconduct Reporting Procedure.
Please note that CIMMYT’S Helpline is not intended to address general complaints about the workplace, interpersonal issues, or other issues not related to violations as described above. General complaints should instead be raised with supervisors, trusted persons, Human Resources or the CIMMYT Compliance Officer.
