The African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) is the world’s premier forum for African agriculture, bringing together stakeholders in the agricultural landscape to take practical actions and share lessons that will move African agriculture forward. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tenth Annual Summit of the AGRF will be held virtually from 8-11 September 2020 and will be co-hosted by the Government of Rwanda and the AGRF Partners Group.
The theme of the summit, Feed the Cities, Grow the Continent: Leveraging Urban Food Markets to Achieve Sustainable Food Systems in Africa, is a call to action to rethink our food systems to deliver resilient, better nourished, and more prosperous outcomes for all.
CIMMYT will participate in the following sessions:

- Monday, September 7, 15:00 – 16:45 CAT: Scaling for Food Systems Transformation in the PLUS-COVID-19 Era – Panel video by Director General Martin Kropff, Live Q&A with Director of Integrated Development Program Bram Govaerts. This side event is co-organized by Lennart Woltering, Scaling Catalyst at CIMMYT and chair of the Agriculture and Rural Development (ARD) Working Group of the CoP on Scaling.Â
- Wednesday, September 9, 14:00 – 15:45 CAT: Results Factory – Engaging Nutritionally Vulnerable Urban Consumers – Director General Martin Kropff will speak on panel.
- Thursday, September 10, 14:00 –15:45 CAT: Ministerial Roundtable: Implementing Continental Agri-Food Policy under the AfCFTA Framework – Director General Martin Kropff will participate.
